Jean Paul GAULTIER 55-0084 Vintage Glasses Frames – New & unworn
Made in Japan, these pristine, new vintage Jean Paul Gaultier glasses frames are minimalist with a touch of the retro-futuristic style too. A subtle gunmetal grey colour titanium metal frame with Jean Paul GAULTIER printed along the left temple side. Fine metal arms ending in red tips which have Jean Paul GAULTIER stamped on one side and 'Made in Japan' on the other. These glasses frames are durable and lightweight - sold without a branded case and ready for you to have fitted with your prescription lenses.
Jean Paul Gaultier was at the avant-garde of eyewear design in the 1980's. Although Japan was by far the most expensive place of production for eyewear frames at that time, Gaultier did not want to settle with anything less than the best craftsmanship for his glasses frames and sunglasses. Unlike most other designers, he did not license his brand to a big eyewear manufacturer but instead kept a minute supervision of the design and production of his eyewear.
